Eclipse downloads (Giveaway-of-the-day Software Library - 195 programs) http://lib.giveawayoftheday.com/search/eclipse/

Eclipse (freeware) http://lib.giveawayoftheday.com/Eclipse_103127/ is a multi-language integrated development environment (IDE). The IDE is written mostly in Java and it released under the Eclipse Public License, which means it is open source and free. This has allowed this IDE to support such programming languages as C, C++, COBOL, Python, Perl, PHP and others. Eclipse also offers the capability of developing applications for Mobile devices, being promoted as the IDE of choice for Android developers. As a whole, the IDE is one of the most complete and powerful development environments on the market. There has been much debate in the Eclipse vs NetBeans issue, where some people claim Eclipse is not as intuitive as NetBeans. The strong aspects of Eclipse are that it is free and is in constant development, every time new updated plug-ins come into play allowing developers to take advantage of constantly changing technologies. Eclipse also uses considerably less resources than other IDEs making it ideal for lower-end computers. In the end, Eclipse is one of the most flexible and powerful IDEs on the market. Review licensed from http://eclipse.software.informer.com/ Publisher description: Eclipse is an open source community, whose projects are focused on building an open development platform comprised of extensible frameworks, tools and runtimes for building, deploying and managing software across the lifecycle. The Eclipse Foundation is a not-for-profit, member supported corporation that hosts the Eclipse projects and helps cultivate both an open source community and an ecosystem of complementary products and services. The Eclipse Project was originally created by IBM in November 2001 and supported by a consortium of software vendors. The Eclipse Foundation was created in January 2004 as an independent not-for-profit corporation to act as the steward of the Eclipse community. The independent not-for-profit corporation was created to allow a vendor neutral and open, transparent community to be established around Eclipse. Today, the Eclipse community consists of individuals and organizations from a cross section of the software industry.

This build requires a 64-bit JVM, and will not run with a 32-bit JVM. You can, for example, use the Sun 64-bit 1.5 JVM for AMD64. Note that the Sun 1.4.2 JVM for AMD64 is 32-bit and therefore cannot be used to run this build.

= The StartExplorer Eclipse plug-in is a small, quick tool developed by Bastian Krol. As the name of the tool implies, this is an Eclipse plug-in that allows you to start the Windows Explorer from Eclipse. It also does several other nice things. In Eclipse if you are looking at an element from the Navigator or the Package Explorer you can select an element, click right over it, select the StartExplorer option and open it in Windows Explorer, the System Editor, the Command prompt or just copy the element to the clipboard. For example, you are working with a Java package in Eclipse, you can just select it from Eclipse using StartExplorer and a Windows Explorer will open showing you where the actual package file is located in your computer. The application is as simple as that and it actually saves times when searching for files or opening and copy-pasting elements to be used in the clipboard or in the command line. Perhaps, the only downside is that it does not have an automatic installer. However, it can be installed from Eclipse's plug-in section. Eclipse is very handy in use. Review licensed from Publisher description Every now and then when working with Eclipse you'd like to examine a file or a folder inside the Eclipse workspace with your Windows Explorer, or you edit a configuration file in an Eclipse editor, which refers to another file in the filesystem and you wonder what it is in that file or you would like to open it in a different application. This plug-in provides you with a convenient way to do all this by adding a few entries to Eclipse's context menus. Furthermore, it offers a different (faster) way to issue any shell/dos commands you like through customizable menu commands.

EasyEclipse Mobile Java (freeware) http://lib.giveawayoftheday.com/EasyEclipse_Mobile_Java_190061/ EasyEclipse's primary purpose is to provide easy-to-install and -use distributions of Eclipse, rather than develop new code. The code we have developed is for assembling, testing and distributing the different distributions of EasyEclipse. This project was started from a search on Google. Although things have improved, this "Eclipse Download Hell" document still is the fifth document returned by a Google search for “eclipse download”. Clearly there is still room for improvement in the way Eclipse is distributed. There is an incredible ecosystem around Eclipse, but the needs of individual developers are not yet particularly well-served.
