How to Connect Your Android to Your PC’s Internet Connection Over USB http://www.howtogeek.com/117118/how-to-connect-your-android-to-your-pcs-internet-connection-over-usb/
= People often “tether” their computers to their smartphones, sending their computer’s network traffic over the device’s cellular data connection. “Reverse tethering” is the opposite – tethering your Android smartphone or tablet to your PC to use your PC’s Internet connection. This method requires a rooted Android http://www.howtogeek.com/115297/how-to-root-your-android-why-you-might-want-to/ and a Windows PC, but it’s very easy to use. If your computer has Wi-Fi, it may be easier to create a Wi-Fi hotspot using a utility like Connectify http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/9739/turn-your-windows-7-laptop-into-a-wifi-hotspot-with-connectify/ instead.

How to Share a PC Internet Connection WIth an Android Device via USB http://www.skipser.com/p/2/p/share-pc-internet-with-android-via-usb.html
Sharing a PC internet connection not only brings the super-fast internet into your phone, but also saves on your monthly bills. There are two ways to share internet between your computer and any android device. (1) Make a hotspot using your network card and use your Android's WiFi connection to connect to it. http://www.skipser.com/p/2/p/share-pc-internet-with-android-or-iphone-without-using-router.html (2) Share connection directly via USB.
Using USB to share PC Internet With Android Phone. Requirement: Before starting out, please keep in mind that your android device MUST BE ROOTED. What you will be doing is something called reverse tethering. For those new to this term, tethering is the process by which you share your Android device's internet connection with any other device like PC. First you need to download the reverse tethering tool: http://www.mediafire.com/?vjbq255c8pza575 It comes as a zipped folder, so extract the folder somewhere you can access easily. Once done, simply follow these steps -

Archiving software may also provide options for encryption, file spanning, checksums, self-extraction, and self-installation. Zip is the most-widely used format, used by the Windows operating system and more recently by OSX as well. RAR is also a very popular and flexible format. Unix uses the tar file format, while Linux uses the tar and gz format.

... Once done, simply follow these steps - (1) Some preparations on your android phone - Turn on USB debugging (Settings - Developer Options - USB Debugging). Make sure the option to install apps from outside Google's play store is enabled (Settings - Security - Unknown Sources) (2) Now connect the android device to the computer using a USB cable. (3) Inside the downloaded folder, you will have a file - "AndroidTool.exe". Double click to run it. This is the reverse tethering tool. On starting, it will automatically detect your connected android device. If not, just hit the refresh button.
(4) All done, now click "Connect" and the tool will start the reverse tethering process. You will be prompted to provide super-user permissions in your phone the first time. Upon granting permissions, the tool will install a "USB tunnel" app in your android device. The app will start a service in your phone which will convert data coming though the USB connection to make it look like a network.
That's it - your computer's internet is now shared with your phone. You can use it to browse the net, install new apps from the play store or to update apps. Please note the installed app is different from the "USB tunnel" app available in the play store, so don't try installing it from the store manually.
What makes this tool great is - creating a shared connection is as simple as opening the tool and clicking "Connect". To make it simpler, you could keep the extracted folder inside one of your drives and have a desktop shortcut to the "AndroidTool.exe" file for quick access.
HINT: Older versions of Google play store has a dependency on your phone's WiFi and mobile internet. So make sure you update your Google Play store app to the latest version or turn on WiFi while connecting using the tool. You need don't really need a WiFi connection, just that Play store needs to see it as turned on.. what a hack :-)

How to Share an Internet Connection With a USB Modem http://www.ehow.com/how_6932546_share-internet-connection-usb-modem.html
= Sharing an Internet connection with a USB modem can be accomplished in a number of ways. The computer it is connected to may simply link an Ethernet cable to the computer that will share the connection. The computer could share the connection via Bluetooth. The USB modem could also be hooked up to a wireless router and share the connection wirelessly. The right option depends on the hardware available on both computers.
(1) Share the connection via Ethernet cable. If the USB modem is plugged into one computer, that computer may be turned into a network hub, meaning other computers may connect to the Internet via that computer. Set up a network in Windows using the "Internet Connection Wizard" tool and connect the second computer via an Ethernet cable. Most computers have more than one Ethernet port, which means more than one one computer could share the connection.
(2) Utilize Bluetooth. Many newer computers come with Bluetooth integration. Simply turn on Bluetooth on both computers. Setup the primary computer as a host and let the second computer (and third or fourth) connect via Bluetooth connection. Bluetooth requires the computers to be in relatively close proximity to have a strong signal. However this method requires no wires or additional hardware.
(3) Connect the USB modem to a wireless or wired router. This may be best solution for sharing an Internet connection via a USB modem. A wireless router should be powerful enough to transmit the signal over an entire house. While a wired router should have enough ports for every computer to connect to it. Many new wireless routers have a USB input feature specifically for USB modems. Purchase one of these routers and set it up. Such a router will cost less than $100 and may be purchased at any computer electronics store.
How to Share a USB Mobile Broadband Connection http://www.ehow.com/how_7210270_share-usb-mobile-broadband-connection.html
= Sharing a USB mobile broadband connection lets you get multiple computers online using a single mobile broadband device. In order to share such a mobile connection, you must have one computer serve as a host, which broadcasts a wireless signal to which other computers connect to get online. Sharing the USB mobile broadband signal is facilitated by the Internet Connection Sharing utility included with Windows Vista and Windows 7, and the ad hoc networking abilities of Windows allow you to broadcast the signal for other devices to use.
= Things You'll Need: USB mobile broadband device
= Instructions: Internet Connection Sharing (1) Click the "Start" button and click "Control Panel." (2) Click "Network and Internet" and then "Network and Sharing Center." (3) Click "Manage network connections," located in the left pane of the control panel window. (4) Right-click the name of the USB mobile broadband connection you want to share, and then click on "Properties" in the window that appears. Type your administrator password if asked for it. (5) Open the "Sharing" tab and check the box next to "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection." (6) Click "OK" and then close the control panel.
= Create an Ad Hoc Network: (7) Click the "Start" button and type "Network and Sharing Center" in the search box at the bottom of the menu. (8) Click "Set up a connection or network." (9) Click "Set up a wireless ad hoc network" in the window that pops up. (10) Click "Next." (11) Enter a name for the network on the configuration page. Type this name in the Network name field. This name can be anything of your choosing. (12) Select a security type for the ad hoc network. You can WPA2 Personal or WEP to secure the network. WPA2 is more secure, but WEP is compatible with more devices when sharing a USB mobile broadband connection. (13) Create a security key for the network. It must be between eight and 63 characters long. (14) Click "Save this network" if you want to be able to restart the ad hoc network quickly in the future. This is helpful if you must regularly share your mobile broadband connection. (15) Click "Next" to save the network and begin connecting other devices to the wireless network used to share your USB mobile broadband connection.
