Men Little Boy, världens första atombomb, förändrar allt.
Nitton år efteråt - Nagasaki 1964. Ett besök i staden som utsattes av historiens andra atombombning. Från 1964.

Japanese city covered with ash after volcano eruption http://rt.com/news/line/2013-08-19/#50336 People in Kagoshima city in Japan were forced to shield themselves from ash after the Sakurajima volcano erupted Sunday afternoon. No injuries were reported but the plume of smoke and ash forced a temporary halt to railway operators as ash was cleared from the tracks. Kyodo News agency reported that smoke from volcano shut five kilometers into the air and lava flowed about one kilometer from the fissure.

18 children diagnosed with thyroid cancer near Fukushima plant Eighteen children from the Fukushima Prefecture have been found to have thyroid cancer, while 25 others are suspected of having the illness, Japan’s NHK website reported. Medical examinations are being conducted on all 360,000 children from the area who were aged 18 and younger at the time of the 2011 accident. By the end of July, around 210,000 children had been tested. The findings were reported by a prefectural panel which is looking into the impact of radiation on those living in the affected area. Local children are thought to be at risk of developing cancer as radioactive substances released can accumulate in their thyroid glands. The panel reported that it could not yet conclude whether the nuclear accident had an impact on the frequency of cancer among children.
Japan to raise severity of latest Fukushima leak to ‘Level Three’ Japan will raise the gravity of the latest Fukushima leak to Level Three, which is considered a “serious radiation incident” on the International Nuclear Event Scale (INES) for radiological releases, Reuters reported. "Judging from the amount and the density of the radiation in the contaminated water that leaked ... a level 3 assessment is appropriate," according to the document used during Wednesday’s weekly meeting of Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) commissioners. Earlier on Tuesday, TEPCO reported that another tank with highly radioactive water at the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant had leaked. The contaminated water contains an unprecedented 80 million Becquerels of radiation per liter – this is compared to the normal level of around 150 Bq/l. Japan's NRA first classified the leak as a Level One incident.

Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power(Im sorry, waste plant), is daily pouring hundreds of tons of the most toxic substances known to man into the pacific ocean. Not to mention that reactor building #4 with its spent fuel pool, is in danger of collapse. They cant stop this population killer, and there is NO technology available to fix it, and NO idea on how to fix it.

KOMMENTAR: An INTERNATIONAL effort is needed ! The whole world will suffer if the oceans will be contaminated with STRONG poisons that needs 100 000 years to decay. Eati ng fish with radioactivity leads to cancer. Why is U.N. so silent about this?

2015-12-26: Okinawa authorities sue Tokyo over US base relocation: Authorities on Okinawa filed a lawsuit against the central government on Friday in a bid to stop the relocation of a US air base on the southern Japanese island, AP reported. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism illegally suspended the prefectural governor’s cancelation of approval for reclamation work needed to relocate US Marine Corps Air Station Futenma to a less-populated part of the island called Henoko, according to the Okinawa government. “We will do whatever it takes to stop the new Henoko base,” Okinawa Governor Takeshi Onaga said. The central government filed its own lawsuit against Onaga last month, after he rejected an order from the Land Ministry to reinstate his predecessor’s approval for the land reclamation.
